Wood Automotive Group’s Sports Hero for June is Manik Teneja. Coach Brian – from the Lester B. Pearson Patriots Boys Volleyball Team – nominated Manik for his character and motivating his teammates.
Manik’s goal for his senior year of high school was to make the senior Volleyball team, and had not been selected at any other time throughout high school. He worked hard to train in his spare time and the off-season, knowing he needed to work on his skills. Even though he did not play as much as others in his team, Manik was a vocal motivator for the team his was committed to. He is now moving on to study at SAIT.
As a reward, Manik received gifts cards and a certificate, and he and his teammates were treated to a pizza party on August 29th at Woodridge Ford Lincoln.
